Larry’s story begins almost like something out of a movie. His father was performing in Dallas, TX, at the Adolphus Hotel when Larry’s mother went into labor. Growing up in the San Fernando Valley, Larry was a passionate baseball player and a dedicated music student. But a shoulder injury in high school derailed his dreams of a professional baseball career. Despite that setback, he remains a die-hard Dodgers fan and even attended the Dodgers Adult Camp in May 2024.

With his love for music never fading, Larry shifted his focus to guitar, singing, songwriting, and vocal production. Under the name Michael Barbro, he recorded and performed many of his original songs. Today, Larry runs his marketing company, HotSpot Local, while still staying active in music—whether it’s recording, voiceover work, or occasional performances. He calls beautiful Los Alamos, CA, home but frequently commutes to Los Angeles for client consultations on video and special projects.
